I wanted to make my own version of a Metroid Speedbooster effect in Unity. I used the speed booster from Metroid Other M as a reference to make the textures needed to pull off the effect. To get the look like it was going backward, I made a mesh in Maya to allow the lightning to flow behind the character.
I also took Ethan's UV map to make an emission texture to allow certain areas to glow when the W key was pressed for more than 2 seconds. Thank you for watching!
